Making a Difference: 10,000 Meals Strong

Our care for the community goes far beyond our practice’s walls. As part of Contra Costa Oncology's annual partnership with Walnut Creek On Ice, the beloved outdoor ice rink downtown, CCO is proud to announce that $5,000 was raised for the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano. For every skating ticket sold, CCO donated to those in our community facing food insecurity. Practice Manager Heidi Lewis was honored to present a $5,000 donation to Food Bank Community Partnerships Specialist Dawn Manley in May. The donation helps to provide 10,000 meals to local families and neighbors facing food insecurity. The Food Bank serves more than 79,000 households and provides 2.7 million meals every month across our community.
